Maloof Wines is an Oregon based winery located in the Tualatin Hills AVA. The Maloof's had a well established identity and deeply documented process before the project, giving myself and the Solver Collective a great starting point. Brand assets from labels were repurposed throughout the site for background textures, buttons, and design accents. Photography from past vintages and events set the mood and define a visual culture that is reflected by the wines and employees.
A unique ask for the project was a blog that could be run by the Maloof team. We created a variety of grid based editorial layouts to work as templates for the blog. This turned what could be a daunting task into a seamless drag and drop process, while still leaving a fair amount of creativity up to the user. The custom templates also create a dynamic look that prevents a unvaried viewing experience.
